How to Inject Peptides

Watch our nurse-guided injection tutorials for proper peptide administration technique.

Subcutaneous Injection (Belly Area)
The most common injection method for peptides. Quick, easy, and virtually painless when done correctly.

Steps:

  1. Clean the injection area with an alcohol swab
  2. Pinch a small fold of skin on the belly
  3. Quickly insert the needle just under the skin surface
  4. Depress the plunger to inject the peptide
  5. Remove the needle and gently rub the area
Intramuscular Injection (Shoulder)
Used for certain peptides that require deeper tissue delivery. The deltoid (shoulder) is a common site.

Steps:

  1. Clean the injection area with an alcohol swab
  2. Locate the deltoid muscle on the shoulder
  3. Insert the needle firmly to reach the muscle tissue
  4. Depress the plunger slowly to inject
  5. Remove the needle and apply light pressure if needed
General Tips
  • Always use a new needle for each injection. Never reuse needles or syringes.
  • Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab before every injection.
  • Clean the vial stopper with an alcohol swab before drawing your dose.
  • Rotate injection sites to prevent tissue irritation or lipodystrophy.
  • Store reconstituted peptides in the refrigerator and use within the recommended timeframe.
  • Inject quickly — a fast, confident insertion is less painful than a slow one.
  • Subcutaneous injections are the most common for peptides. The belly area (avoiding 2 inches around the navel) is the preferred site.
  • Intramuscular injections are used for specific peptides. The deltoid (shoulder) and vastus lateralis (outer thigh) are common sites.
